There have been many stories in the Press and on TV, regarding Internet security. We've tried to answer common security questions and concerns as honestly as we can.

Is my credit card safe?

We honestly think so. We wouldn't be doing business on the Web if we didn't. We'd be doing ourselves and our customers a disservice by offering a means of ordering that had a high risk of causing problems.

What's the worst thing that could happen?

Iif someone gets your credit card information (regardless of how) the down side is normally limited.  Many credit card companies only hold you liable for up to $50 of losses from credit card theft.

What security concerns are there, with the Internet?

When buying something on the Internet, there are three areas of security you must be aware of:

1. Data you send can be intercepted.
2. The site you're doing business with may not be the site you think it is.
3. The site you're doing business with processes your credit card and address information in a safe and responsible manner.

Point 1:  When you think of the large volume of information flowing around the Internet all the time, what is the risk that your particular transaction will be intercepted?  We think it's very low.  If you are concerned, you may fax/phone your order to us.

Point 2:  It is good practise to check the company you have ordered from actually exists.  This is no different from reading a newspaper advertisement, and sending money to a PO Box number.  On the Internet, it is very easy to cross-check with other sources.  For example, use our Telecom phone listing to check we exist).

Point 3: We process our email orders several times a day, so your credit card information is removed from the Internet as soon as it is received.
